Summer Plans for Students 2011
1. Relax and review your year: what went well, what would you like to change in the coming year?
2. Write or revise your resume.
3. Spend your summer wisely: what is your passion? If it is the out of doors, find a way to devote your talents and energy while learning more about your environment; think about human geography. Volunteer at a camp, teach city children camp craft, join a green project, plant a garden and keep notes of your activity.
4.Think outside the box and perhaps even your comfort zone: adopt a grandparent at a local assisted living facility, tutor a younger child, learn to play the harmonica.
5. Read, read, and then read some more. Keep a diary of your summer reading.
6. Clean out a desk drawer or build a file system for your college materials
7. Have a good summer
