General Practice of Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a collaborative venture. In a consistent and trusting environment, clients examine their functioning and life experience to improve their quality of life. Because it is an interactive process between therapist and client in an active manner. It is a unique relationship which requires concentration and effort and although much of it is serious there may be moments of laughter as well.

Although I am psychodynamic in my thinking, I often use cognitive and behavioral strategies. Clients develop new tools and insights to utilize so that improvement is enduring.
